A collection of large-scale vessels reinterpreting the historic scagliola technique through layered colour, textured surfaces, and the contrast between polished and raw material.

Scagliola combines gypsum, glue and pigments to create richly coloured, polished surfaces. Drawing on its history in decorative architectural surfaces, the works reconfigure the material as a self-supporting structure. Once developed to imitate precious stone, it is approached here as a material in its own right.

The polished exterior and raw interior remain visible at once. The palette draws from the built environment: weathered façades, infrastructure, repairs, oxidised metals and painted concrete. Each vessel is unique and handmade.

Sediment establishes a material language conceived to operate across scales: from objects and furniture to surfaces, interiors and architecture.
